Sacramento Police Officers arrested Joshua “Josh” Duncan Thomas (male, DOB 09/08/72)  in connection with the homicide of Thomas Edward Jackson (male, DOB 6/26/46).  At approximately 11:55 a.m. today, June 8, 2000, Mr. Thomas was arrested from a residence on the 2400 block of Rio Linda Boulevard.  At this time, Mr. Thomas is speaking with homicide detectives.

A second suspect, Chema Strawther (DOB 05/05/81), was arrested last night, June 7, 2000, and booked into the Sacramento County Jail on one count of homicide.

On June 3, 2000 at approximately 10:25 p.m.  Thomas Jackson was assaulted and robbed in the 2400 block of Broadway.  Mr. Jackson died on Monday, June 5, 2000, at Sutter General Hospital  as a result of the injuries he sustained during the assault.
