 HOMICIDE - BABY MISSING
Sacramento Police Homicide Detectives have upgraded the suspicious death on June 17, 2000 to a Homicide.  At approximately 7:38 a.m., June 17, 2000 the Sacramento Police Department received a call of a possible body wrapped up next to the roadway.  The caller indicated the body was on Northgate Blvd, approximately 3/4 of a mile from East Levee near the entrance of the Riverdale Mobile Park.  Officer’s arrived and located a deceased female on Northgate Blvd. between Garden Hwy and Del Paso Blvd.

Investigator’s have determined the victim was female, white, 20-30 years (probably closer to early 20's), auburn hair, 5-4, 190 lbs., and pregnant (probably a full term baby).  The victim died from asphyxiation.  The baby was not with the victim, and the baby’s whereabouts are unknown.  The name of the victim is unknown at this time.

A photo of a necklace the victim was wearing, is available.  Lt. Poroli and Sgt. McHenry will be available for interviews at 1600 hours, in front of 900 8th Street.
 

 

Anyone with information in regards to the identity of the victim, the whereabouts of the baby, or information on the Homicide is asked to call Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or (800) AA-CRIME.  Callers can remain anonymous and can earn up to $1,000 reward.
