 Notice to Property Owners and Managers near C.S.U.S.
 
If you own or control private property in the area surrounding CSUS, the Sacramento Police Department reminds residents in the area that from July 14th 2000 thorough July 23rd 2000, they may experience persons parking on their property without permission.  If they are concerned about illegal parking on private property, they should familiarize themselves with the following information:

The Sacramento Police Department considers illegal parking on private property a civil matter and will not tow a vehicle from private property.  The Sacramento Police Department will respond to blocked driveways.  The public can contact the police department at (916) 264-5471.

 o     Vehicle Code Section 22658 states "No Parking" signage requirements must be specific.
     Establish an agreement with a private tow company for removal of vehicles improperly parked.
        A property owner or agent must be on site and give written authority for the tow.
 o     If possible control access to your property or retain staff to monitor access.
