Subject:  Auto Theft Surveillance Operation
 
Starting July 14th 2000, through July 23, 2000, Sacramento Police Department auto theft detectives and officers from the Sacramento County Auto Theft Suppression Task Force (SACCATS) will be working jointly in the prevention of auto thefts.  Officers will be working in the area of the Red Lion Hotel, 1401 Arden Way, the Doubletree Hotel, 2001 Point West Way, Lot H at Cal Expo and streets surrounding California State University Sacramento.   This pro active enforcement plan has been developed to prevent vehicles from being stolen and burglarized during the Olympic Trials.

The Sacramento Police Department wishes to remind people who are attending the Olympic Trials to lock their vehicles when left unattended, do not leave open packages on the seats and secure all valuables in the trunk area.
