At approximately 0240 hours, on July 25, 2000, Sacramento Police Officers responded to 8036 Pocket Road (Shore Park Apartments) in regard to a car burglary in progress. Upon the officers arrival they observed three male suspects breaking into a vehicle. Upon seeing Officer Corey Johnson, the suspects fled on foot and ran to a nearby waiting vehicle (Teal colored Honda). Officer Johnson was able to fire his weapon at the driver of the vehicle striking a passenger. The suspects in the vehicle fled the scene and the suspects dropped off the passenger who was wounded by Officer Johnson at Kaiser South.
