Tonight we celebrate the partnership between the citizens of Sacramento and the members of the Sacramento Police Department and their continual effort in making Sacramento a continued safe place to live.  Chief Arturo Venegas, Jr. and the entire management staff thanks the men and women of the Sacramento Police Department and citizens of Sacramento for all of their efforts in developing Neighborhood Watch and anti-crime programs throughout the year.

This evening Chief Arturo Venegas will join Mayor Jimmie Yee, City Manager Bob Thomas, Deputy City Manager Richard Ramirez, Council members Rob Kerth and Heather Fargo in meeting members of the community at various neighborhood events throughout the City.  Chief Venegas will also be joined by uniformed personnel in personally thanking the citizens of Sacramento for their community service and support.
