Sacramento Police Homicide Detectives with the assistance of  CCAP (Career Criminal Apprehension Unit)  and the SPD Gang Unit have arrested the below Suspects for the murder of Thomas Buchholz.  At approximately 12:16 p.m., August 22, 2000 the Sacramento Police Department received a call of a body dumped on W/B Business 80 between Marconi and El Camino.  CHP and SPD Officer’s arrived and located a Buchholz with head trauma.  Buchholz was transported to UCDMC, where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound.

Investigator’s have determined Suspect Rivera and the 17 year old Juvenile Suspect  had dropped off Suspects Camacho and Santana at the Sport Time Car lot to test drive a camaro and car-jack it.  Buchholz gave Suspects Camacho and Santana a test drive of a 1996 Chevy Camaro from the car-lot located at 3501 Fulton, Sport Time, where Buchholz worked as a car salesman.  Buchholz was shot and dumped on the side of the W/B Business 80 freeway, between Marconi and El Camino during the car-jacking robbery.  The stolen Camaro drove off and was followed by witnesses.  The Camaro was lost in the area of 16/W streets.  The Camaro was located at 4th/Q streets, parked.  Witnesses indicated  three of the listed Suspects wiped the Camaro down with rags, and drove off in the listed black camaro convertible.

1.)    JOSE LUIS RIVERA, male, Hispanic, 19 years, DOB: 04/04/1981
2.)    ANTHONY FLOREST CAMACHO, male, Hispanic, 20 years, DOB: 06/22/1980
3.)    ALEJANDRO SANTANA, male, Hispanic, 20 years, DOB: 06/26/1980
4.)    Male, Hispanic, 17 years (Name with-held)

SUSPECT VEHICLE:   1994 Chevy, Camaro, Black, Convertible, Calif License 4LDE357.

Suspect RIVERA and the SUSPECT VEHICLE were taken into custody at 4001 S. Watt Ave. at approximately 6:00 p.m.  Suspect CAMACHO was arrested at 5125 47th Avenue at approximately 9:25 p.m. The MALE JUVENILE suspect was arrested at 5125 47th Avenue at approximately 12"30 a.m.  The Suspects were booked on one open count of 187 P.C. - Homicide.

Suspect Santana is wanted at this time for one open count of 187 P.C. - Homicide.

Photos of the adult suspects will be available at 900 8th Street after 8:00 a.m.
