Robbery Series at Shell Gas/Mini -Marts


Between August 4th 2000 and September 5th 2000, there have been four mini-mart robberies in the Sacramento area.  The robberies have occurred twice, at 8090 Folsom Blvd and 225 Jibboom St. The most recent robbery occurred at 1400 Sutterville Rd. on September 5th 2000, at approximately 9:30 p.m.

The suspect is described as a male White or Hispanic, approximately 30-35 years of age, 5'-9" to 6'-0", large build, medium dark hair, and large moustache.  The suspect has a large tattoo on his right forearm.  The suspect has worn a white T-shirt with a design on the back of the shirt and small design on the front.  During the most recent robbery at 1400 Sutterville Rd, the suspect wore a hat with an Oakland Raiders logo.  During the robberies, the suspect has been armed with a large caliber handgun.

Witnesses report seeing two vehicles, a 1978-1981 Chevy Caprice or Impala, gray with a shiny black vinyl top, and a 1980's gold colored mid sized vehicle with primer front end.

A videotape of one of the robberies and suspect are available at the security station at 900 8th St.  After 5:00 p.m., the videotape will be available by contacting Station Commanders.
