This morning, the Sacramento Police Department arrested a suspect wanted in the connection of a sexual assault of a 14 year old, that occurred near a  north Sacramento electronic store.

On 10/13/200, surviellance footage of the suspect was distributed to the media requesting  community assistance in identifying the suspect.  As a result of media coverage, a Crime Alert tip was received within a few days. The tip lead to the identity of the suspect.

Today, arrest and search warrants were served on the suspect’s residence.  This resulted in the arrest of 48 year old  Gary Eugene Bryant.

Bryant will be charged for the sexual assault that occurred on 10/9/2000, after offering a 14 year old a job as a model, and then assaulting him in a field, a short distance from an electronic store   where the victim had been shopping.
