ARREST OF PAROLE VIOLATOR FOR ILLEGAL CONDUCT ON SCHOOL CAMPUS

On Monday November 13, 2000, the Sacramento Police Department arrested a subject on

active parole for his illegal conduct while on the Hiram Johnson High School grounds.  The

suspect, Lee Haney  MB 32 years, was brought to the attention of the Sacramento Police

Department’s School Resource Officer assigned to the Hiram Johnson campus, after he was

escorted off of the school grounds by a campus administrator.  Through investigation the officer

determined Haney was on active parole.  The officer immediately began an investigation as to

Haney’s activity and learned the suspect had inappropriately touched three juveniles.  The

officer next contacted suspect Haney’s parole officer and obtained a violation for the suspect.

Haney was then arrested by patrol officers.  The Sacramento Police Department will be

adding additional charges of 647.6 PC (molesting a minor) in addition to the parole violation.

The Sacramento Police Department is currently working with the Sacramento Unified School

District to determine if there are any additional victims.
