On Sunday November 27, 2000, Sacramento Police Officer Joseph James Chairez was struck down by a hemorrhage in his brain.  Officer Chairez was 25 years old and had been with the Sacramento Police Department since January 24, 1997.  He was sworn in as a Sacramento Police Officer on June 17, 2000.   In honor of Officer Chairez, the following is a list of events which will be taking place.

     Visitation:   Thursday, November 30, 2000, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Rosary:         Thursday, November 30, 2000, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

                        11th & K Street, Sacramento CA

    Funeral:         Friday, December 1, 2000, 10:00 a.m.
                        Cathedral Of The Blessed Sacrament
                        11th & K Street, Sacramento CA

    Interment:     Immediately following services
