The planning for the funeral of Officer Chairez has been completed.  The following is the time line that has been planned for the events surrounding the funeral and the interment.
 
0800  One lane (S2) road closure for 12th Street between J Street and L Street.

0830  Media briefing in front of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.
          -pool camera for indoors
          -consolidated area (S/E or S/W corner)

0900-0930 Officers, citizens arrive at Cathedral.  Uniformed Officers formed up in the Cathedral Square; all others     (Civilians and non-uniformed Officers) are escorted into Cathedral.

0930  Officers formed up and at attention in the Cathedral square.

0945  Officer Chairez’s body  arrives and is brought into Cathedral.  Uniformed Officers will follow into the Cathedral under the direction of Lt. Sweeney.

1000-1115 Funeral services.  (1115 Officers file past Officer Chairez.)

1130  Motorcade to Chapel of the Chimes.

1150-1230 Grave side ceremonies (Mariachi band, Taps, Presentation of flags and badges to the family).
