MURDER/SUICIDE-DOMESTIC VIOLENCE


Sacramento Police Homicide Detectives are Investigating Homicide #39.  At approximately 6:38 p.m., December 4, 2000 the Sacramento Police Department received a call of two possible gunshot victims at 5530 Meadow Park Way. Officer’s and Fire Personnel arrived and located a male and female in the master bedroom with  possible gunshot wounds.  Both victim’s  were  pronounced dead at the scene.  The Victim’s have been identified as JERRY BAGGETT, Male, Black, 56, DOB: 10/29/44 and MAMIE BAGGETT, Female, Black, 55, DOB: 02/21/45.

Investigator’s have determined the murder/suicide was domestic violence related.  Investigator’s have also determined Jerry Baggett was shot and killed by his wife Mamie Baggett.  Mamie Baggett left a suicide note, and then shot and killed herself.  The firearm used by Maime Baggett was located in the master bedroom in one of her hands.
