The Sacramento Police Department and Arden Fair Mall are teaming up to keep holiday shoppers safe this season.  Tomorrow, Saturday, December 16, 2000, Sacramento Police Community Service Officers will be in the Mall parking lot between 10:00 a.m. and noon handing out crime prevention flyers to shoppers before they park their cars.

During the holiday season especially, it is extremely important for shoppers to remain aware of their surroundings to keep themselves and their property safe.  Even though Mall Security patrols the parking lots, shoppers MUST lock their cars, roll up their windows, and keep packages, presents, and valuables out of sight.  Any suspicious activity should be reported to Mall Security immediately.
Sgt. Dave Ransom will be available to meet with the media tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. at Arden Fair Mall, in the parking lot area in front of “Clothestime” to explain our efforts to prevent auto  thefts and burglaries during this time of year.  If you would like to Sgt.
