KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL STABBING

At 1200 P.M., on December 19, 2000, the Sacramento Police Department responded to John F. Kennedy High School on the report of a stabbing on campus.  Officers located two male juvenile subjects who had been involved in a fight.

During the officers investigation, they determined one of the subjects had pulled out a knife and used it on the other subject.  The subject who used the knife was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and for possessing a knife on school campus.  The other subject sustained two small lacerations (1", ½") and was transported to the hospital by his mother.

Both subjects involved were juveniles and attended Kennedy High School. The fight appeared to be over another female student.

The juvenile who was arrested was taken to Juvenile Hall.
