Robbery of Beacon Gas Station Employee

The Sacramento Police Department asks for the public's assistance in locating a suspect in the robbery of a cash deposit from the Beacons Gas Station, located at Meadowgate and Franklin Blvd at approximately 10:00 a.m. on September 15, 2000.  On this date and time, the victim walked across the street from the location to make a deposit at the Farmers and Merchants Bank.  The victim was in the middle of the street when the suspect accosted her from behind and pushed her to the ground.  The suspect began hitting the victim and sprayed her face with pepper spray.  The suspect took the bank deposit bag from the victim and fled on foot to a green colored vehicle.

The suspect is described as a male Black in his 30's, approximately 6"0", 250 lbs., heavy build, unshaven, dark baseball cap, dark T-shirt and pants with white tennis shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 1997-1998, four-door sedan, license plate similar to 2JFW240.
