The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who committed a kidnap, sexual assault, and bank burglary.
On June 6, 2002, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the victim was leaving the Wells Fargo Bank at 1 Park Center Drive where she was working as a janitor. While she was walking to her vehicle which was parked in the bank parking lot, she was confronted by two male black suspects. One of the suspects had a large knife. The suspects forced the victim into her vehicle and drove around the area asking the victim questions about the security of the bank. The suspects returned to the bank and parked. One of the suspects entered the bank with the victim’s keys and stole approximately $1,800 in coins while the other suspect sexual assaulted the victim inside her vehicle.
After the suspect returned from inside the bank, they drove the victim to her bank (Bank of America at 9 Park Center Drive) and withdrew $300 from the victim’s account. The suspects drove a few blocks and then forced the victim inside a garbage dumpster locking the victim inside. The suspects fled leaving the victim’s vehicle behind. After a period of time, the victim was able to free herself from the dumpster and flag down a passing motorist who called police.
