On Saturday, July 27, 2002, 2,500 motorcyclists will gather for the 9th Annual Police Memorial Run.  The Run participants will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacramento Police/Sheriff Memorial Park (Arden Way, just east of Del Paso Blvd.).  From this location, they will be an impressive sight as they ride together in a procession, east on the freeway up to High Hill Ranch in Apple Hill.

Upon arrival at High Hill Ranch, there will be two live bands, food and beverages will be available for sale, and an auction of sports memorabilia will be held.    The cost for participating in the run is $10, which includes the entry fee and a Memorial pin.  For those who want to participate in this event, but not ride with the Run, you are welcome to meet the Run participants at High Hill Ranch.

Approximately $325,000 has been raised from the annual Police Memorial Run.  Proceeds from every Run go toward the building of the Sacramento Police/Sheriff Memorial Park which is due for completion this Fall.
