The Sacramento Police Department will be holding a press conference on Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. in the new Police Administration Building located at 5770 Freeport Blvd., Suite 100.

The Sacramento Police Department will be showcasing its latest technological advancements in a step toward a “virtual mobile office”.  We will be demonstrating the following:

1.  New computer hardware in police vehicles.
2.  Live video down-link from the helicopter to the patrol car.
3.  Mobile access to Department of Corrections ParoleLEADS database.
4.  Mobile access to the County Justice Information System (CJIS).
 
Deputy Chief Rick Braziel, Deputy Director of Parole Rick Rimmer, and Captain Scott LaCosse,  will provide an overview of the project and how the agencies are working together to bring  technology to the officer in the field.

Sergeant Paul Freeman and Officer Jason Kirtlan will be present to conduct a hands-on demonstration and to share their successes using this new technology.
