Sacramento Police Homicide Detectives are investigating a homicide which occurred at 18th Ave and 38th Street. On September 13, 2002, at approximately 8:46 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department received several calls from the area indicating shots fired with several people shot. When officers arrived they found an African American male down on the sidewalk with at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso. The victim was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Alvin Stone, African American male, 02/11/67. Additionally, two other gunshot victims from the same shooting ended up at the Medical Center to be treated for gunshot wounds to their lower extremities.
Homicide Detectives have learned that two
African American males rounded the corner east bound18th Ave tosouth bound
38th Street and opened fire at a group of people killing Alvin Stone and
wounding two others and then continued on foot S/B 38th Street.
SUSPECTS
Suspect #1 African American male, 15-18 years old, 5'-7"-5'-9", with a light brown complexion wearing a white T-shirt and black pants and a red bandana over part of his face.
Suspect # 2 African American male, 5'-10"-5'-11", dark complexion, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.
