Sacramento Police Homicide Detectives are investigating a homicide which occurred in the area of 3240 San Jose Way.  On September 26, 2002, at approximately 4:49 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department received several calls stating that a subject was down in the street.  Officers responded and found a subject (later identified as Freddie Daniels -02-28-61) laying in front of a green Ford Explorer suffering from a possible stab or gunshot wound to his upper torso. Sacramento City Fire Department personnel provided medical attention to Daniels and transported him to the UC Davis Medical Center where he later died as a result of his injuries.
