SWARM ROBBERY

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in a swarm robbery.

On November 16, 2002, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the California National Guard Armory(1013 58th Street) hosted a large hip-hop dance.  An investigation revealed that the promoter of the dance misrepresented the type of event that was going to take place.   After the dance was over a large group of subjects drove to a nearby AM-PM store located a 2933 65th Street.

On November 17, 2002, at approximately 2:07 a.m., the AM-PM (2933 65th Street) was swarmed by approximately thirty suspects who were believed to have come from the hip-hop dance held at the California National Guard Armory,  taking beer, soda, chips, cigarettes and other miscellaneous items.

At approximately 2:28 a.m., the AM/PM located at  4421 Florin Road was also a victim of a  swarm robbery.  Sacramento Police investigators have currently identified four of the same suspects in this incident who were involved in the robbery at 2933 65th Street.

At approximately 2:35 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to 2460 Florin Road (Quick-Serve) which was also a victim of a similar swarm robbery.

Sacramento Police Department investigators believe that all three swarm robberies are related.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is requested to call Crime Alert at 443-HELP or 1-800-AA-CRIME or Detective Will Tall at 277-6127. Callers can remain anonymous and earn up to a $1000 award.
