On Thursday May 22, 2003, at approximately 5:36 a.m., a Sacramento Police officer was notified of a possible deceased individual on the pipe bridge above the American River, east of Highway 160.  The police officer arrived and located one male white subject, approximately 40 years old, laying face up with some clothing covering his face.  The subject appeared to have some trauma to his head.   The victim has been identified as Keven Wohlenberg, male white, DOB 02/28/62.  The autopsy revealed that the deceased suffered a severe skull fracture.
 
Homicide Detectives have learned that the motive for the attack was robbery as the victim was seen by the suspect(s) counting his money on the bridge.

The first two suspects were arrested on May 30, 2003 and were located  in the area where the attack occurred.  The suspects are as follows:

Rocky Froemel, male white, transient, DOB 06/08/68
Richard Henderson, male white, transient, DOB 01/04/59

This morning Homicide Detectives charged a third suspect in the murder of Keven Wohlenberg.  The third suspect was located fishing in the area where the attack occurred.  The suspect is as follows:
 
Patrick Hayes, male white, transient, DOB 07/17/82

Photos of the suspects are not being released at this time pending further investigation.
