POLICE/SHERIFF’S MEMORIAL RUN

This Saturday, July 26, 2003, will be the 10th Anniversary of the Sacramento Police/Sheriff’s Memorial Run to High Hill Ranch in El Dorado County.  This annual event brings together motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the State to remember those officers killed in the line of duty and to share in a day of riding from the valley to the mountains for food and friendship.

Established 10 years ago with the support of the Harley-Davidson of Sacramento, this Run benefited the building project for the Police/Sheriff’s Memorial Park which now stands complete in Woodlake Park.  This year’s proceeds from the Run will benefit the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy-Sacramento and the Police/Sheriff’s Memorial Park.

The Run will begin at the Memorial in Woodlake Park, located at Arden Way and Del Paso Boulevard, and progress to High Hill Ranch at Apple Hill.  The riders will leave the park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Media is invited to the pre-Run ceremonies at the park and to view the awesome sight of over 2,500 riders (which is about 5 miles of bikes) heading for the hills to enjoy the day.

On Friday, July 25, 2003 at 5:00 p.m., a pre-Run party and BBQ will be held at the Harley-Davidson of Sacramento   (1000 Arden Way, Sacramento).  Riders can register for the Run at this event and enjoy the BBQ and entertainment.

For more information on the Run, please contact Mike Murray at (916) 847-9870 or Topo Padilla at (916) 425-0980.
