On October 25, 2003, at 8:48 p.m., a Honda Prelude traveling northbound on Freeport Blvd from Meadowview Road lost control and ran off the road. The car rolled and burned. Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene by the Sacramento Fire Department. According to witnesses, the driver of the Prelude may have been racing another car, possibly a white Honda. This white Honda may have made contact with the Prelude prior to the Prelude leaving the roadway.

The Sacramento Police Department is seeking witnesses and/or information regarding the collision.  Anyone with information is being asked to contact traffic investigators at 277-6057.
