The Sacramento Police Department’s new 9-1-1 Communications Center is set to break ground Monday, November 17, 2003, at 1:00 pm at 7399 San Joaquin Street.   There will be a ceremony with speakers representing a number of the agencies that have been involved in this effort to build this state-of-the-art, high-tech 9-1-1 Communications Center that will serve the needs of the area for many years to come.  The new center will have the latest in high technology communication equipment.

·     34,000 square foot facility on 5 acres
·     Capable of handling 9-1-1 cellular calls
·     Regional Communications Academy
·     City of Sacramento’s back-up Data Center
·     Room for future expansion and upgrading
