$70,000 Reward Offered in Unsolved Homicide

The Sacramento Police Department, in conjunction with Governor Schwarzenegger, the Takeda family, Bank of America, and Asian Peace Officers Association are offering a cash reward of $70,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) in the murder of Herbert Takeda.

On Friday, December 5, 2003, at approximately 9:08 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department received a 911 call regarding shots fired and a male victim in a truck bleeding.  When officers arrived they located Herbert Takeda in his vehicle bleeding from what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his upper torso.  Herbert Takeda was pronounced deceased at 9:41 p.m. at the U.C. Davis Medical Center.
