$5,000 REWARD OFFERED IN MURDER
On Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department and representatives from the Carol Sund-Carrington Foundation will announce a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) in the murder of Marissa Ann Flores Krog. This announcement will take place in the Hall of Honor of Police Headquarters (5770 Freeport Blvd.).
On Sunday, June 27, 2004, Marissa Krog and several friends were visiting Sacramento from Vallejo. After visiting several clubs, the group decided to return home to Vallejo. While the group was waiting for a red light at the corner of 29th and N Streets, another vehicle pulled alongside and immediately fired a gun at the driver’s side, striking the victim in the neck. No other occupants of the vehicle were injured. The suspects were described as male Hispanic or Black, early to mid 20’s, last seen heading south on Highway 99 in a light colored four-door SUV type vehicle.
