ROBBERY ATTEMPT

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who attempted to rob a female in the downtown area.

On September 2, 2004, at approximately 4:45 p.m., a Black male adult approached the victim as she walked to her vehicle.  The suspect attempted to take the victim’s purse from her by pulling the victim to the ground and kicking her in the face twice in an attempt to make her let go of her purse.  Citizens who witnessed the event chased off the suspect.  The suspect got into a vehicle and fled the scene.

Suspect Description:  Black male, 20-30 years old, 5’11”-6’, heavy with a small belly, possible goatee.

Suspect Vehicle:  93 GMC, 2-wheel drive, extended cab pickup, metallic dark blue (custom paint), tinted back window, tinting over taillights with cut out design, small visor above the windshield, appears lowered due to running boards from front to rear tires.  License plate number 6G28446.
