“HOOPS CLASSIC” FUNDRAISER

The Sacramento Police Athletic League (PAL) is hosting its 4th annual basketball fundraiser Saturday, October 23, 2004.  The Sacramento Police and Sheriff’s will compete in a spirited competition for this youth program held at Natomas High School (3301 Rosin Boulevard).  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the game begins at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $5.00 and children under 10 are free.

The Sacramento PAL is a 30-year old non-profit organization created to reduce the level of juvenile delinquency among youth in Oak Park and surrounding areas through “Boxing.”  Today, Sacramento PAL offers social, educational, athletic training and a nutritional meal to youth ages 5-18, 7-days a week.  Sacramento PAL programs include homework, math and reading with tutors/mentors from McGeorge School of Law, arts, crafts, dance, physical education, basketball, baseball, mixed martial arts, golf and a computer lab where youth use computer technology to prepare them for the future.

For ticket information, please call Bonita Barnes at (916) 452-4069 or email SACPALED@aol.com.
