ARMED CAR JACKING

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in an armed car jacking.

On September 25, 2004 at approximately 9:10 a.m., a female victim parked her vehicle next to Nordstrom’s at 1651 Arden Way.  She sat in her vehicle while she waited for her daughter to come out of the store.  A Black male adult approached the victim and pulled out a handgun.  He told the victim to get out of her vehicle and pulled her out of her car while threatening to shoot the victim.  The victim’s daughter interrupted the robbery and the suspect threatened to shoot her as well.

The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s 2001 Jeep Liberty, which was later located the next day.

Suspect Description:  Black male, 22, 6’0”, 230 pounds, goatee and unshaven, black jacket, red shirt, black pants.  The suspect was armed with a “Cowboy” style revolver.  The victim stated that the suspect had extremely large lips.

Anyone with information regarding this case is requested to call Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or 1-800 AA-CRIME.  Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
