Wanted Suspect

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a wanted suspect.

On May 11, 2005, Scott Castillo approached a victim who had parked his cab in front of the Greyhound bus station located at 715 L Street.  The victim drove Castillo to several locations.  Castillo told the victim to drive him to the Wells Fargo at 12th/J Streets so that he could withdrawl some money.  Castillo went to the ATM and acted as though he was making the transaction.

When he returned, the victim asked for the cab fare that they had agreed upon.  At that point, Castillo pulled out a 4-5” long knife and told the victim to give him all his money.  When the victim refused, Castillo attempted to stab him in the eye.  The victim put his hand up to protect him and the knife cut his index finger.  During the struggle, the victim was able to grab the knife and prevent further serious injury.

Castillo forced the victim out of the car and drove away with the cab.  The victim suffered cuts to his finger, eye and chest from the assault.  The cab has since been found.

Anyone with information regarding this case is requested to call Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or 1-(800) AA-CRIME.  Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
