Arrests Made In Neighborhood
Shooting
On June 3, 2005, the Sacramento Police
Department’s Street Gang Task Force arrested eight (8) suspects for a wild
shootout between two different Asian gang sets. The shootout occurred on
Albion Way in South Sacramento. At least twenty rounds were fired
from multiple guns, and one suspect was struck numerous times. Two guns
were recovered in the investigation.
All eight suspects were charged with attempted
murder and street gang terrorism. They are identified as:
Kou Vang, 20 years
Kong Vang, 23 years
Jer Thao, 21 years
Andy Vang, 19 years
Koua Pao Vang, 18 years
Paul Thao, 19 years
Jail Her, 18 years
Ying Xiong, 20 years
The Police Department’s Gang unit is continuing
to investigate this shooting and additional arrests are anticipated.
