Downtown Robberies With
a Gun
The Sacramento Police Department is asking
for the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect in the downtown
area. Since June 22, 2005, there have been three robberies
involving a Black male using a handgun.
On June 22, 2005, at 10:15 p.m., the victim
was waiting in her car at 17th/K Streets when a Black male with a handgun
approached her. The suspect pointed the handgun to her head and demanded
her money. He took her purse and dumped the contents on the ground.
The suspect took her money, keys, wallet and a digital camera. He
then ordered the victim to remove her jewelry.
On June 24, 2005, at 11:45 a.m., the victim
was eating lunch in her vehicle at 27th/O Streets when a Black male approached
her with a handgun in his hand. He approached her vehicle at the
victim’s driver side door and ordered her to empty her purse and to take
off her jewelry. He took her jewelry, cell phone, car keys, and cash.
On June 26, 2005, at 11:45 a.m., the victim
was taking items out of her car at 14th/Q Streets when a Black male approached
her. The suspect pointed a handgun at her and ordered the victim to give
him money. The victim retrieved her purse from inside her vehicle
and gave it to the suspect. The suspect forced his gun into the victim’s
stomach and went through the purse. He removed cash from her purse
and left in an unknown direction.
SUSPECT: Black male in his
mid 20’s to mid 30’s, 5’10” to 6’1”, 180-215 pounds, large build, dark
complexion with short dark hair. The victims stated that he was relatively
clean-cut, and well dressed. He was described as wearing a yellow/blue/white
stripped shirt with clear “J-Lo” style sunglasses and blue jeans during
one of the crimes.
