Homicide Update

On Monday, August 22, 2005, at 6:30 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department received a call from a resident at 3351 Duckhorn Drive (#521) stating that a subject had been shot inside her apartment.  When officers arrived they located the victim lying on the dining room floor as well as the female who originally called.  The Sacramento Fire Department responded to the location and declared the victim deceased.

The victim has been identified as Christopher Torres, DOB 02-07-84.  An autopsy completed today confirmed the victim died from a gunshot to his head.

Investigators are currently looking for Jason Morrison.  Morrison was last seen in the company of the victim and is wanted for “questioning” only regarding this homicide.  Morrison was living at the apartment where the homicide took place and he fled after the shooting occurred. Morrison is described as a male, White, 24 years old.  He is 5'9”, 220 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes (see attached photograph).  Morrison has two felony warrants for his arrest unrelated to this homicide.  The suspect has been known to ride public transit.
