Composite Sketch of Assault Suspect

The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the community’s help in identifying an assault suspect.  On August 2, 2005, at 8:15 a.m., the victim was walking south on Tattershall Way after dropping her son off at school.  The suspect, who was armed with a knife, came out of the bushes and forced the victim back into the bushes.  An unidentified citizen stopped his vehicle (burgundy in color) and approached to help the victim.  The suspect fled on foot as he approached. The victim was sexually battered and sustained minor cuts.

Suspect description:  Male black, 30 years old, 6’2”-6’-4”, muscular build, short black hair.  The suspect was wearing a black t-shirt, faded black jeans, and silver hoop earrings.  The suspect’s knife was described as a large silver-folding knife.
