Crime Spree
Tuesday, August 16, 2005,
the Sacramento
Police investigated a series of bizarre car jacking and home invasion
robberies.
The following time line describes the suspect’s actions.
At 1:31 p.m., the suspect,
armed with a
knife, approached the first victim at 6600 Weatherford Way demanding
the
victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled in a white Plymouth
Voyager.
At 1:38 p.m., the suspect
broke into 3415
Lake Terrace Drive in the County of Sacramento demanding a vehicle from
the residents. She was not successful and subsequently went to
3407
Lake Terrace Drive and broke into that residence demanding their
vehicle,
threatening them with a box cutter. The suspect stole a 1999
green
Chrysler Sebring from the location.
1:58 p.m., at 8900 Pocket
Road (Shell Gas
Station) the suspect attempted to steal another vehicle.
2:12 p.m., the suspect
broke into another
residence located at 7252 Camino Del Rey where a male occupant was
asleep
inside. The suspect stole the victim’s handgun and fled in his
white
pick-up truck.
2:35 p.m., the suspect
approached a victim
at 6851 Golf View Drive. At gunpoint, the suspect stole the keys
to the victim’s vehicle that she was then unable to locate.
2:36 p.m., the suspect
approached another
victim at 6730 Golf View Drive. At gunpoint, the suspect demanded
the keys to the victim’s vehicle and fled in a gold Ford F-150.
4:02 p.m., a Sacramento
Police Officer
spotted the stolen vehicle at Mack Road and Highway 99.
Officers
attempted to stop the suspect vehicle but the suspect led the officers
on a pursuit that terminated at the dead end of South Parkway.
Officers
surrounded the vehicle and attempted to make contact with the
suspect.
The suspect did not comply with the officer’s demands to exit the
vehicle.
Due to the suspect being armed and the nature of her crimes officers
requested
additional resources. After approximately one and a half hours
the
suspect exited her vehicle and was taken in custody without
incident.
Prior to the arrest the suspect was seen consuming pills. As a
precaution
the suspect was transported to the U.C. Davis Medical Center for a
medical
evaluation. Once medically cleared the suspect will be booked at
the Sacramento County Main Jail on a variety of felony charges
including
home invasion robbery, car jacking, and evasion of a police
officer.
Suspect: Christina
Shukry, DOB-07-23-1977.
A picture will not be released at this time due to investigative
follow-up.
