SLAVIC COMMUNITY
GRADUATION
The
Sacramento Police Department in conjunction with the Sacramento County
District Attorney’s Office is proud to announce the first Slavic
Community Academy graduation ceremony.
The Slavic
Community Academy was developed to help members of this unique culture
adjust to the lifestyle of the Sacramento Community and to gain a
better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of law
enforcement and the district attorney’s office through a series of
hands-on, bi-lingual classes that are presented with translators in a
culturally sensitive manner.
This
five-week academy began on October 20, 2005 and will graduate over 60
participants. The ceremony will take place on November 17, 2005
(tomorrow) at 7:30pm in the Hall of Honor’s main atrium located at 5770
Freeport Boulevard.
The media
is welcome to attend this exciting event and should be present by 7:15
pm. Albert Najera, Chief
of Police, will be presenting the graduates with their certificates at
7:30 pm.
If you
have any further questions, please call Captain Richard Shiraishi
at (916)
433-0895.
