Armed and Dangerous Homicide
Suspect
On Friday,
November 18, 2005, at 11:51 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department received
9-1-1 calls reporting that a man had been shot in front of a residence. Patrol officers and Sacramento Fire
Department personnel arrived within minutes and discovered a gunshot victim on
the driveway of 7652 Lisa Way. The
victim sustained fatal gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Homicide
investigators responded and conducted their investigation. The victim was identified as Sivilay Vansee,
21 years old, who resided at 7652 Lisa Way.
According to witnesses, Vansee was confronted on his front driveway and
shot several times with a shotgun.
Several witnesses heard the gunshots and saw a four-door sedan fleeing
from the victim’s residence.
The suspect has
been identified as Bonney Thavisack, 21 years old, who is also a Sacramento
resident. Thavisack and Vansee were
acquaintances, however, the motive for this murder is still undetermined
On Saturday,
November 19, 2005, two hours after the homicide, Thavisack is suspected of
forcibly taking a car from a relative in Stockton, California (3830 North
Alvardo Avenue). According witnesses in
Stockton, Thavisack brandished a shotgun at the victim and demanded his
car. The victim gave his cars keys to
Thavisack. Thavisack drove off in the
victim’s car and has not been heard from since.
Suspect
description:
Bonney Thavisack, 21 years old, Asian Male, 5’ 9”, 135 lbs., thin build, short
black hair and brown eyes.
