Members of the deaf and hard of hearing community may utilize any web-enabled device to make contact with the Sacramento Police Department or report an emergency situation. This pager service is available via firstname.lastname@example.org or via email@example.com.
The Sacramento Police Department uses the Everbridge emergency notification system. The system is designed to alert our community and neighborhoods of critical public safety information such as missing persons, evacuations, shelter-in-place orders, and critical law enforcement activity in a neighborhood. At times, non-emergency information related to public safety, such as a crime series, is relayed.
The Everbridge system is capable of delivering TDD/TTY notifications and it auto-detects the TDD/TTY machines. Everbridge is also capable of delivering text messages and emails.
