Training Volunteers
The Sacramento Police Training Unit is dedicated to developing the skills, knowledge and service delivery of sworn and civilian employees. We provide comprehensive training to ensure our citizens are provided quality, public safety services while being treated with professionalism, dignity and respect.
The Training Unit provides and coordinates training for all personnel, including:
- Basic Recruit Training (Entry Level Law Enforcement Personnel)
- In-Service Training
- Firearms Training
- Instructor Certification and Re-certification Training
- Emergency Vehicle Operations Training
- Other specialized training
- Providing training to outside agencies as directed and authorized
