Episode 17: Parole Intervention Team, Officer Fitness, Military to Police Careers and Above & Beyond

In this edition of City Beat...They keep tabs on the toughest criminals in the county...those who have been to prison and have been paroled. The Parole Intervention Team provides parolees with tools to make a successful re-entry into society. They're also tasked with tracking down those who re-offend.

And when it comes to being an officer, the job is both mental and physical. We'll introduce you to the Sacramento Police Department's secret weapon in the fight to stay fit. Plus, the rigorous training and physical requirements needed to be a police officer are not unlike those required by soldiers on the front lines. It's no surprise, then, that police recruiters are looking to find a few good men and women from the military.

Finally, in our Above and Beyond segment you'll meet an officer who focuses her efforts on exposing kids to the law enforcement lifestyle. She helps to run a high school program that puts kids in control.
