Pizza Delivery No Longer Option for Robber

On Wednesday, January 28, 2009, the Sacramento Police Department arrested 20 year old Willie Soders in connection with three robberies to pizza delivery drivers.

Between January 20, 2009 and January 24, 2009, there were three robberies that occurred in the south Sacramento area. In each of these robberies, the suspects called a pizza location and gave their phone number and an address to deliver the pizza to. When the driver arrived with the delivery, the suspects approached with a gun. The suspects then stole money from the driver before fleeing the area. In one of the robberies, the suspects shot the delivery driver in the leg.

Sacramento Police patrol officers and detectives investigated the crimes and were able to link Willie Soders to all three robberies. Detectives continue to investigate the case to determine the second suspect’s identity and whereabouts.

Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or (800) AA-Crime. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
