Burglar Hits Area Businesses

The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the communities help in identifying a burglar who has hit eight businesses over the last week in the downtown core and along Broadway. 

The burglar is breaking into the businesses late at night to early morning hours and gaining entry by removing or breaking the lock on the front doors.  The burglar is taking cash and property from inside the business before he flees. 

The burglar is described as a male, black, 5'9", 170-190 lbs, short dark hair, and moustache. The following are locations that have been burglarized:

May 7, 2009         2200 block 10th St                       May 10, 2009       1300 block Broadway

May 10, 2009       1100 block L St                             May 13, 2009       2600 block Broadway 

May 10, 2009       1800 block J St                             May 14, 2009       1400 block Broadway

May 10, 2009       2000 block 16th St                       May 14, 2009       1700 block 8th St

The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
