The Sacramento Police Department is proud to announce the graduation of Academy Class 2009 BR-2.
This academy class consists of 25 recruits, five of which will be sworn in as Sacramento Police Officers. Two recruits have been hired by the Escondido and Woodland Police Departments. The five officers being sworn in as members of the Sacramento Police Department were hired as part of a federal grant awarded to the department in July 2009. The Recovery Act Funding granted the Police Department $9,544,860 to hire up to 35 new officers.
The graduation will be held on December 17, 2009, at the Sacramento Convention Center, 1400 J Street, Hall D. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m.
