Robber Caught on Surveillance

The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the community's help to identify a man wanted for robbery.

On October 21, 2010, at 7:24 p.m., a male suspect walked into a pharmacy located in the 7400 block of Rush River Drive.  The suspect approached the front register and asked the clerk for change.  When the clerk opened the register, the suspect made a threat and demanded money.  The clerk put cash inside a white plastic bag and handed it to him.  The suspect then fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a male Black adult in his early 30's, 5'7", 280-300 pounds, unshaven, wearing a dark Boston Red Sox baseball hat, multi-color polo shirt (blue, yellow, green and red horizontal stripes), dark jeans and white shoes. Immediately after the robbery, a 1990's Chevy step-side pickup truck (red and silver) was seeing leaving the area.  This vehicle may be associated with the suspect.

This robbery was caught on surveillance video.  Detectives are releasing the video in hopes that someone will recognize the suspect and come forward with information needed to identify him.

The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
