The Sacramento Police Department's Criminal Justice and Public Service Magnet Academy has been chosen to receive the 2010-2011 Distinguished Program Award for the Northern Region of California. The award is presented by the State Juvenile Officers Association in partnership with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation-Division of Juvenile Justice.

The success of the Magnet Academy is attributed to the collaboration and unwavering support from the Sacramento City Unified School District, Twin Rivers Unified School District, California Partnership Academies and the Sacramento Police Foundation.
