Have Breakfast to Help Sacramento’s Youth

Police officers are often thought of as doing enforcement to prevent crime in our community, but they also participate in intervention programs to mentor and keep kids on a path away from criminal activity through programs such as the Sacramento Police Athletic League.

The Sacramento Police Athletic League is an organization that was created by police officers to serve the youth of Sacramento. It now consists of business owners and other members of the community, as well as police officers. They currently offer a rugby, baseball, and mountain biking team.

So how can you help the youth of Sacramento?  The Sacramento Police Athletic League is holding their 2nd Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser:

When: Saturday, June 25, 2011

Time: 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

What: Offering pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, juice and coffee, all buffet style.

Cost: Kids 5 and under are free. Kids 6 years to 15 years old are $5 and over 16 is $10. They do offer a senior discount for those over age 54, the cost is $5.

If you cannot make the breakfast, the Sacramento Police Athletic League also accepts contributions by contacting them directly at (916) 808-8285 or by mail to Po Box 163599 Sac, Ca 95816.
