Officers Arrest Subject Stealing From Toy Bin

The Sacramento Police Department has arrested Keith Napier, 49, for theft and for impersonating a police officer.

On Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., Napier entered the business in the 5500 block of Stockton Boulevard.  He reached into the bin of toys that was in the front of the business and removed a book and another toy. He exited the business and when confronted by an employee, he identified himself as a Suisun City Police Officer. He placed the stolen toys in his vehicle and fled the scene. The toys were intended to go to a local charity.

On Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 1:03 a.m., officers, working in conjunction with the Suisun City Police Department, received information that Napier was in the 1500 block of Howe Avenue. Officers responded, located and arrested Napier. Officers also located one of the stolen items near where they located Napier.

The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
