Investigation Leads To Arrest

The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 34-year-old Gene Felder and 52-year-old Antonio Harvey on charges related to robbery and conspiracy.

On July 21, 2010, at approximately 10:00 p.m., The Sacramento Police Department responded to investigate a robbery that occurred at Cal Expo during the State Fair.   Two armed suspects entered into the cash room of a contracted food service company and robbed the employees at gunpoint.   The suspects stole approximately $200,000.00 in cash.

While officers were still investigating the robbery Harvey, an employee of the food service company at the time, called police to report he had been kidnapped.  Upon further investigation Harvey's story was determined to be false, leading detectives to focus on him being involved in the robbery.

Detectives were able to link Felder as being involved in the robbery based on the investigation surrounding Harvey.

Sacramento Police detectives obtained arrest warrants for Suspects Harvey and Felder with the assistance of the Cal Expo Police Department and the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office.   On October 18, 2012, both suspects were arrested on charges stemming from the July 21, 2010 incident.

At this time it is possible that other suspects are still outstanding and this investigation is ongoing.
